The Access Control module will enable you to control who is able to access different sections or files within your website. Visitors will be able to login to their account on your website to gain access to any additional files you grant their account group access to view.
Common uses
- Sport Teams – allow team members to gain access to private information such as contact lists, schedule, or team notices.
- Businesses – provide additional information on your services to clients, such as product manuals
- Family – share your special moments with friends and family without worrying about who is going to see it

Login Component
The login component enables visitors to login in to their account. Once a visitor has logged into their account the login component will disappear and any components or additional files you have granted the accounts’ group access to will be available to the visitor.

The registration component allows visitors to create their own account for the website. When a visitor registers an account through the registration component a welcome email message will be sent out to the visitor. By default this message contains their login information (username and password) and a link to activate their account.
This component is only available to account groups you (the administrator) have enabled ‘registration’ for in the administrative area. Once a visitor has logged into their account the registration component will not be displayed.

The forgot password enables visitors to retrieve their account login information if they have forgotten it. To retrieve their login information the visitor will need to enter the email address used for the account; if the email address is found an email message will be sent out containing their account username and a link to change their password if required.
Once a visitor has logged into their account this component will not be displayed.
